Haven't been posting.
Blogger just had to make me upgrade.

Heroes.
Papa taped the past three episodes, and, since its the glorious Chinese New Year Holidays, what better time to catch up.
So we ate lunch and watched the show.
Its really super nice. Its like a really imaginative and well thoght up cross between CSI and X-Men.
The great thing is how all these people come from different ends of the globe. New York, Japan, Texas, India. Its really amazing how their lives are all intertwined and how great their powers can be.
So far i remember 6 powers. Clair, un-hurtable. She runs throgh fire, throws herself off buildings, stabs herself, mutilates her fingers, yet she feels absolutely no pain and the wounds heal almost immediately. Hiro something, Japan. Able to travel through and change the time and space continuem. Isacc, forsees the future and paints all of them out. Confused and frustrated with his powers, he falls into a state of depression. Peter, can walk on air, fly. number 5, can hear people's thoughts. number 6, has a highly destructive and violent spilt personality that can kill anything. Leads her to find out more about herself.

Its scary.
Think about it, could these things really occur? A phenomenon so powerful and destructive, that it changes the human race? A complete evolution of the human powers and mind, the beginning of a new age?
To me, this has a very high chance of coming true. Till now, humans are only using 20 to 30 percent of our brain. Perhaps geniuses, like Einstein, used about 40 percent. All it takes is for one person to discover a way to stretch the ability of our mind to one hundred percent, and we could do anything. Abilities that seem super human and impossible to our kind now, could possibly come true. At the rate technology is advancing, developing something like that could be possible in the next 100 years. Mankind could easily have super sharp senses, defy gravity, travel through time, space, and even dimensions. It would be a whole new world.

And when that happens, would this new breed of human beings really be heroes? Fighting for the good, using their powers to benefit others? Hunger for power is something so evident even now, and powers like those could easily be abused. In just so little time, the world we know could be destroyed by a new breed of humans, the future generation.
We would be like God.

Then again, God would never let something like that happen. That kind of power and supremacy is unique to God and God alone. If God wants the evolution to happen, it will, but if he does'nt, nothing any human can do will ever make that happen.
In the end it boils down to just one thing:
Thank God.
