AEP COURSEWORK IS FINALLY OVER MY BRONCHIOLES ARE FINALLY UNCLOGGED AND I CAN BREATHE AGAIN.
Yeah I think we practically burst every vein in Miss Gao's body because we dragged the lesson till 7, but hey, its over, WE ARE FREE!
For one week.
I passed napfa 2.4 OH THANK GOD. Its an embarressing sixteen (considering i was a basketball player till two years ago) but heck, i passed and i ran all the way without stopping. What more can I ask for!
Sher and Jack and Guo came over on friday night for movie and dinner, it was quite fun and made the friday night lots more wonderful. :D GWH for sher! I dont matter what your teacher says i think its jolly good, so congratulations!
Cell yesterday was good, one hour prayer for mother's day event went pretty well, considering the rather short attention spans of some of our members. It was half worship and i think overall cell went really well.
I miss alot of people now, you know? Hey, you could be one of'em. (:

"Yes, I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers
and the help given by the spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to
me will turn out for my deliverence. I eagerly expect and hope that
I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that
now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by
death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain."

"Two battleships assigned to the training squadron had been at sea on maneuvers in heavy weather for several days. I was serving on the lead battle ship and was on watch on the bridge as night fell. The visibility was poor on patchy fog, so the captain remained on the bridge keeping an eye on all the activities.
Shortly after dark, the lookout on the wing of the bridge reported,
"Light, bearing on the starboard bow."
"Is it steady or moving astern?"
the captain called out.
Lookout replied, "Steady captain," which meant we were on a dangerous collision course with that ship. The captain then called to the signalman,
"Signal that ship:We are on a collision course, advice you change course 20 degrees."
Back came a signal,
"Advisable for you to change course 20 degrees."
The captain said, "Send, I'm a captain, change course 20 degrees."
"I'm a seaman second class," came the reply, "You had better change course 20 degrees."
By this time, the captain was furious. He spat out,
"Send, I'm a battleship. Change course 20 degrees.
Back came the flashing light,
"I'm a lighthouse."

We changed course.

A simple and humorous account, but carrying an important message as well. I currently just can't put a peg to the "Moral of the story", but if and when it comes to me I will be sure to name it here. This excerpt was taken from pg 33 of "The 7 habits of highly effective people" (Yes, I am trudging through it and I hope there will be more funny bits like this."

Currently my nose is running its 2.4 at roadrunner speed and is making me very unhappy. After all, who would be extremely comfortable with blowing her nose every 20 seconds, contending with "near sneezes" (these are the worst) and having to walk around with her mouth hanging open like a fish because she cant breathe with her mouth? Skipping school tomorrow.

Its a hectic week, and I'm going to have to rush head on for a chance of survival. Coping with the diet too! The benchmark is the day I can squeeze my hefty self into my Ashleys and actually be able to breathe.

God bless you all!

The meantime boy
He enters your living room without hesitation because he knows he’s always welcome there. You can never completely get angry with him because you’ll forgive him anyway (why expend the energy on that?) There’s no real pressure to look good for him, or to domesticate yourself, because hell, he probably cooks better than you do. you don’t get disappointed when he doesn’t open the door for you, or perform any of the perfunctory genteel mannerisms frequently assigned to a “gentleman” (ergo, a prospect). if he sees you as a buddy, then you really don’t quite see him as a “man”… much more the “gentle” kind.

But that doesn’t mean these signs of breeding are alien to him (it’s just that around you, he can slip up and live to see the next day). More often than not, he’s one of those dudes on top of the food chain. Why else wouldn’t you mind having him confused as a boyfriend? And the mere fact that he doesn’t mind (well, not really) being seen with you says he sees you being in that level too - especially if he has to contend with the are-you-guys-together interrogation as well.

And admit it, the pestering questions from well-meaning people are well-founded. You’ve both acquired the mannerisms of an old couple - there are no awkward silences, no trite comments, no hesitations. Physical intimacy can stretch from holding hands to cross the street to a prolonged embrace when one of you feels bad. It’s true, you’re around each other when life’s vicissitudes erupt. He’ll be the first person at your doorstep, maybe even getting there before you do, because you told him you were just fine (wonderful, couldn’t be better) - and he recognized the devastation in your voice . And you, you don’t even need to say how proud you are of him (how awkward can that be!)- you knew, you believed in him way before he did.

Where your relationship is is where other couple’s relationships should be - given fifteen years or so. Only you’ve had this chemistry too soon, way before either one of you will ever recognize just how irreplaceable it is. It was never the result of time, negotiation or compromise. It’s just one of those things that came too easily, so naturally it’s laughable to call it precious (it’s so many other things - just NOT that word). It’s like telling a piano prodigy to practice when he can play Mozart’s Symphony in E Minor after one listening. Just plain absurd.

But admit it, being around this Meantime Boy has given you an inkling of what it would feel like to be with The One. What you feel when you’re with him - how secure, how profound or how silly you both can be - these are the stuff you need in lifelong commitments! Think about it. He’s probably seen you sweat it out on the track (thus disproving the myth that girls don’t sweat), just as much as you’ve seen him develop one too many love handles. Not even for charity will you ever HAVE TO take it easy on him in the court. He’s had one too many fashion faux pas for his own good, mispronounced so many words you’ve lost count and he probably farts in front of you. On the other hand, he’s seen you have bed head, trip on your feet, and cry like a baby when John Kofi gets the chair. Almost perfect, isn’t it? Just add mad, incredible passion (the one missing ingredient) to this comfortable stew and you’ve got something so rare it will leave you breathless.

So the truth is Meantime Girl, there is a reason for this meantime-ness…and you better have the good sense to know it’s not to wait for him to snap out of his immaturity (or for you to make the first move-never!). He’s your Meantime Boy because you need to learn from him what truly ennabling relationships are - and not to confuse that with those that are disgustingly constricting. He’s around because you need to recognize the primacy of friendship (that’s why FRIEND is the bigger word in GIRLFRIEND). He’s there because you need to believe that you can be seen as a thinking human being - and not the commodity so closely associated with your gender.

The Meantime Boy grants you the liberty to love - because while he is an accommodating recipient of your affections, he silently gives way when someone else steps into your life. He gives you THAT look, the don’t-you-dare-fall-in-love-with-me Care Bear Stare whenever your get your ends all mixed up. Don’t despair and take heed: his very indifference is his gift to you.

By being oblivious to your adoration, he sets you free to be someone else’s forever. And when this man, this god, finally arrives to sweep you off your feet, he’ll marvel at the perfect jewel you are: how you never begrudge Sunday Night Football, how you confidently possess your own mind and project the very essence of graciousness. And why wouldn’t you be? You’ve had years of practice.

Okay i got this off Shirleen's livej. There's another part about the meantime girl but thats really long and starts sounding a little negative towards the end, but its a really beautiful piece of writing anyway.
Make sme yearn for a meantime boy in my life, not a boyfriend but something so much better, a boy friend. Makes me wanna be a meantime girl to someone too!
Well, maybe someday. (:

I think Aep is pulling me down.
I don't know why, but i seem to be taking the stress and the pressure the hardest. I mean we do all moan-groan, grumble and complain, but for me its an unspeakable fear of the lesson, i actually am afraid, i feel like aep is a brickload on my shoulders that weighs me down in the week.
I suppose the unhappiness began after the Bishan park trip, after we had to endure a day of wetness and humdrum. Then it just built on, the pressure, andi feel like i cant really take it anymore!
Its true, i know, we dont always try our best, but thats our school culture, what we are used to, and such strict discipline is impossible to be effective. It doesnt help that MG is not the best praise-giver and speaking with her always leaves me half-depressed.
Oh god, oh god!
Evidently something has to be done before i breakdown, but that shall happen after i actually muster the courage to take any action. Meanwhile i shall pray, because God is bigger than all my problems I know so!

Anyway, the week was good in the sense of a great accomplishment, because Sherlyn and I actually ran 2.4 km without stopping! We felt so super great after that run, mainly because we finally see some hope in passing napfa.

And even after the mood-dampening art lesson on thursday, the day was made good when I met hui-ge and paw who tagged along with me to my ah-yee's house, and after watching some TV we went to the jap restaurant at leisure park for dinner. Fun! I feel so lucky to have wonderful and supa hilarious friends like these two, never fail to brighten my day. There were these two incredibly adorabe japanese TWIN little boys (oh my oh my!) at the table opposite us, Paw and i were staring to no end. Hooray for Twin Japanese Cuties!

Church today was good too, Yaxin came along and we had a pretty good talk. And by all things through prayer!
So proud of Sherwyn and Jae for leading cell so smoothly despite the absence of a cell leader, both got alot of potential luh. Proud of tiziana too for bringing her friends to rededication.
Central three power man!

I love central three (:
Pictures of everything another day!
Including april fools.

(p.s I have made the interesting discovery that adults have the tendency to create jokes and laugh at them while noone else does. Oh well! Part and parcel of graceful aeging.)
